Our ModCuda was bought by a lady from Clarksville, TN at Star Chrysler Plymouth in Nashville TN on 10/18/1968 for $3648.80. It had a black vinyl roof (V1X), green floral interior (F6J) and the exterior paint was Y4 Spanish Gold Metallic. She traded in a Pontiac GTO 2 door HT (cannot read the year of the GTO on the documentation) and got $2773.80 trade-in allowance for it.

We've kept most of the original parts, but when we restored it, we decided to soup it up a bit. Here's what we've done over the last 10 years:

• Original 340 HP engine, now .030 over
• Electronic Ignition with MSD 6AL
• K&N Air Filter
• Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap Intake
• Edelbrock Aluminum Heads
• Crane Adjustable Roller Rocker Arms
• Comp Cams "Pro Magnum" Retro-fit hydraulic roller lifters

• Comp Cams 280/284 x .541/.537 hydraulic roller cam
• Holley Commander 950 4-bbl 700cfm Throttle Body Fuel Injection
• 2 1/2" TTI Headers with X-pipe
• 2 1/2" Flowmaster Delta-flow mufflers
• Original 727 Transmission with a Trans-Go shift kit
• Gear Vendor's Overdrive/Underdrive unit
• B&M Megashifter
• 3.55 Sure-Grip in a 741 case; and a spare 2:76 one-wheel-peel for the highway (20mpg with the Commander 950!)
• Moser cut/splined C-Body rear axles
• 17x8 and 17x10 IntroWheels "Cruiser" pattern, backspacing = 5 1/2" front, 6" on the rear, no changes to leaf spring location, no tire rub in the corners.
• 235/45-17Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3's on the front, 275/40-17's on the rear
