The "before" picture. Start by propping your hood open, taking the negative battery cable off and loosening the clamp on the air intake tube where it meets the rear of the air filter housing. It takes a 10mm socket to loosen it. There is a small hose attached to the engine side of the air filter housing that you will also need to disconnect from the filter housing (leave the other end connected to the valve cover). You can then grab the air filter housing and work it back and forth while pulling it up and out of the engine compartment to remove it.
